Capital IDEA awards sponsorship for educational training up to an associates degree in several career fields.
In general, we try to
bring as many applicants as possible through
our college readiness programs (ESL or College Prep Academy) in order to
meet our mission of giving individuals their first
opportunity to achieve higher education.
After completing one of our college readiness programs, participants move directly into training for their chosen career. Each semester Capital IDEA evaluates to determine which careers are not being filled by participants coming out of college readiness programs and opens up those careers to applicants already at the college level who meet our basic qualifications.

To all of you who have been calling and emailing to find out when Capital IDEA will open up to other counties - we'd like to say that we share your disappointment and wish we could give you better news. Unfortunately, we will not be able to recruit from other Central Texas Counties for the remainder of 2010. If we are able to open enrollment in 2011 we will immediately update our website.

Capital IDEA limits its training to career fields where we have established employer partners. It is a good idea to begin researching these careers as you go through the application process.
