Minimum Qualifications

All applicants must meet the minimum requirements listed below in order to be eligible to apply for sponsorship with Capital IDEA.

  1. Resident of Central Texas
    (see our Orientation page for more information.)
  2. 18 years or older
  3. U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
  4. Have a high school diploma or GED
  5. Have not completed a college degree program (associate's degree or higher)
  6. Interested in pursuing one of Capital IDEA's Sponsored Careers
  7. At or below the federal poverty guidelines (see Income Guidelines below)

Additional Criteria

Capital IDEA asks that applicants be able to demonstrate:

  1. A commitment to finish the entire program and
  2. A commitment to give back to the community after graduating.

Both are extremely important considerations for Capital IDEA.

Income Guidelines

Capital IDEA can only serve people at or below 200 percent of the Federal Poverty Guideline. Below is a chart that gives a general idea of who qualifies.
