Where does your money go?
A financial gift to Capital IDEA helps Central Texas families lift themselves out of poverty and into life-long financial stability. Contributions sponsor educational services for low-earning Central Texan adults who have the drive and talent to succeed at higher education, primarily at the community college level, but who need financial assistance and supportive services in order to succeed. Your gift will pay for direct expenses such as tuition, textbooks, and lab fees, as well as the critical expenses that can force an adult pursuing higher education to drop out: childcare, transportation, and the occasional emergency. Your gift also funds our signature career counseling which guides our participants through the college system and provides intervention when a student is struggling, either academically or financially. Finally, your gift helps the Central Texas business community by providing a locally-trained, ethnically diverse workforce skilled in high-demand occupations that pay a living wage, benefits, and opportunities for advancement. Cash gifts to Capital IDEA are tax-deductible, as provided by law.
