One of the most difficult things for most adults deciding to return to school is figuring out how to pay for child care. As a Capital IDEA Participant, you will recieve child care assistance while you are attending classes. For example, if a Participant is in class Monday, Wednesday and Friday, those are the days Capital IDEA will assist with the cost of child care. Participants need to be able to cover any additional days of childcare, not covered by Capital IDEA.

 

In Travis County, child care is contracted through WorkSource’s Child Care Services program.  Participants work with a WorkSource staff member to select a child care provider in their area. Outside of Travis County, Participants identify their own child care provider and then work with Capital IDEA staff to validate the provider.
