If you have a criminal background, you can still apply for Capital IDEA. However, many of the careers we support require a license. As part of your application process, you will bring a criminal history from DPS.

If the career you choose requires licensing, you will be asked to submit an application to the Licensing Board. If the board finds you eligible for licensing Capital IDEA can accept you. If you can’t be licensed, then we will not pay for your education in that career, and you may have to consider a different career choice.
